Advito’s guidance and support pays off.

Global snack giant Mondelēz International turned to Advito for guidance and support on a traveler engagement strategy that reduced travel and expense spending by over 20% in one year. A recent article in Business Travel Magazine details the success of Mondelēz International’s traveler engagement campaign. Advito, the consulting arm of BCD Travel, guided the snack food giant’s traveler engagement strategy and created campaigns and materials to support the effort.

Mondelēz Global Travel & Expense Meetings Manager Ike Ihenacho said the traveler engagement strategy fostered stronger relationships with employees on the road. “They better understand our travel policy—not just what it is, but why it’s important,” he explained. “Actively engaging travelers helps us stay on budget and enhances our travel program brand.”

In the article, Advito’s Lesley O’Bryan described the rationale behind the consultancy’s traveler engagement practice. “Business travelers are operating with more autonomy than ever, bringing their consumer travel habits to work,” she said. “Travel and procurement managers told us that the old mandates weren’t working. They needed to find ways to engage and influence their travelers, nudging them toward smart buying decisions on the road.”
