BCD Travel has purchased World Travel Service Inc., one of the largest corporate travel agencies in the United States. The deal aligns with BCD’s strategy to boost growth through acquisitions in the U.S. and abroad, as BCD Chief Executive Officer John Snyder explained in a recent interview with The Beat.
Based in Knoxville, Tennessee, World Travel Service focuses on midmarket U.S. travel clients and has operated as a BCD affiliate for 13 years. The agency has more than 100 employees and over $330 million in annual sales. It also operates Liaisons Meetings & Incentives.
World Travel Service is “a great fit” for BCD, Snyder said, adding that the agency would operate under its own brand as a division of BCD. Read the company press release to get more details on the deal and a recap of BCD’s other acquisitions.
